Fit & Sizing

Size Guide

All styles are listed in US sizing. Use the charts below to convert your size or measure your feet — every pair is built on an anatomical last with a secure heel and room for your toes to spread.

General rule: start a half size up from your everyday shoe size. Styles with a waterproof membrane have less volume in the toe box, so you may need to go up a further half size. An “H” in a size name means half size — 7H is a US 7.5.

Adult Footwear

Measure both feet in the afternoon and use the larger measurement to match the heel-to-toe column.

16	15	48.5	34	31.8
17	16	49	35	32.6

Half sizes stop at US 12 for most styles; above that the chart runs in whole sizes only.
Hiking boots worn with thick socks usually want the upper end of your range.

Women’s styles are built on their own last — do not convert from the men’s chart by subtracting 1.5 sizes.
Open sandals with a bungee or cord upper conform to the foot; if you are between sizes, take the smaller one.

17	18.5	16	49	35

All-gender styles are made on one shared last, so one shoe fits both charts — read across for the size you normally buy.
If you fall between the men’s and women’s column, follow the measurement rather than the size number.

Kids’ Footwear

Kids’ sizing runs in four ranges: baby US 6M–24M, toddler US 4–7, little kids US 8–13 and big kids US 1–6. Once a child outgrows big kids’ 6, the next size up is a US men’s 7.

Toddlers Little Kids Big Kids

Toddler size conversion
US	UK	EU	CM (JP)	Heel-to-Toe (cm)
4	3	19	11.5	11.4
5	4	20/21	12.5	12.1
6	5	22	13.5	13.0
7	6	23	14.5	14.0

Around 12 months old, most children move up a size every two to three months — re-measure before every order.
Allow roughly a thumb’s width between the longest toe and the front of the shoe.

Little kids size conversion
US	UK	EU	CM (JP)	Heel-to-Toe (cm)
8	7	24	15	14.6
9	8	25/26	16	15.5
10	9	27/28	17	16.3
11	10	29	18	17.1
12	11	30	18.5	17.9
13	12	31	19.5	18.7

Sandals with an adjustable strap can be worn closer to the foot than a closed shoe.
Half sizes are not offered across the kids’ ranges — when in doubt, go up.

Big kids size conversion
US	UK	EU	CM (JP)	Heel-to-Toe (cm)
1	13	32/33	20	19.7
2	1	34	21	20.5
3	2	35	22	21.3
4	3	36	22.5	22.1
5	4	37	23.5	22.9
6	5	38	24.5	23.7
7	6	39	25.5	24.5

Big kids’ sizing overlaps adult sizing at the top — a big kids’ 7 is equivalent to a men’s 7.
Grown-out shoes should be replaced as soon as the toe touches the front; a snug shoe changes how a child walks.

Apparel & Socks

Clothing measurements are body measurements in inches, not garment measurements. Measure over light layers and keep the tape level.

Men’s tops size chart
Size	Chest (in)	Waist (in)	Neck (in)	Sleeve (in)

XL	42–44	36–38	16	34.5
XXL	44–46	38–40	16.5	35

Layering pieces are cut to fit over a midlayer, so take your usual size if you plan to wear both.
Sleeve length is measured from the centre back of the neck to the cuff.

M	34–36	30–32
L	36–38	32–35

L	12	33	43
L	14	35	45
XL	16	37	47

Waist is measured where the waistband sits, hip at the fullest point below the waist.
For insulated or lined trousers, take the larger size if your measurements straddle two options.

XL	—	12–15	46–48

Hiking socks are cushioned by style, not by size — the size stays the same whether you choose light or heavy cushioning.
Merino blends relax a little after the first wash; if you sit at the top of a range, size up.

How to Measure

A piece of paper, a wall and a soft tape are all you need. Measure both feet or both hands and always use the larger number.

Foot Length

Stand on paper with your heel against a wall, mark your longest toe on both feet and measure from the wall edge.

Foot Width

Measure across the widest part of the ball of your foot while standing, with your weight spread evenly.

Kids’ Feet

Measure in the afternoon, add a thumb’s width of growing room, and re-measure before every order.

Chest & Waist

Chest at the fullest point under the arms, waist at the narrowest point, both with the tape level and relaxed.

Fit Questions

Do these shoes run true to size?

The general rule is to start a half size up from your everyday shoe size, then work from there. Styles with a waterproof membrane have less volume in the toe box, so an extra half size may help.

What does the “H” in a size name mean?

It marks a half size. A 7H is a US 7.5, a 10H is a US 10.5. Where no half size exists, the chart runs in whole sizes only.

How do kids’ sizes break down?

Baby US 6M–24M, toddler US 4–7, little kids US 8–13 and big kids US 1–6. After a big kids’ 6, the next size up is a US men’s 7.

When is the best time to try shoes on?

Later in the day, when feet are at their widest. Bring the socks you plan to wear with the pair — cushioned hiking socks can change the fit by half a size.

Are sandals sized the same as boots?

They share the same chart, but open sandals with a cord or bungee upper mould to the foot. If you are between sizes in an open style, the smaller size usually fits better.
